MBW Meet and Greet is a trading name of MBW Car Park Services Ltd. Hereinafter known as MBW or The Company.
1 Booking & Service
1.1 All Terms & Conditions are deemed to have been accepted by the person that is entering into a contract with MBW on behalf of themselves and all other persons having any proprietary, possessory or other financial or material interest in the vehicle being parked. Our contract is with the customer and the company will only discuss company terms with the customer. MBW is not liable for any additional costs, private terms for the vehicle or any delays incurred as a result of Terms & Conditions and/or instructions not being agreed with or adhered to. MBW reserve the right to refuse collection or delivery of a vehicle without prior notice. (See 1.2)
1.2 Every effort is made by MBW to ensure that we meet our customers for collections and deliveries at the requested (scheduled) times. MBW does not accept responsibility for any delays or additional costs incurred that are caused by circumstances beyond its control including, but not limited to; traffic congestion, flight delays /cancellations, security controls, poor weather, acts of nature.*
1.3 The vehicle being parked with MBW must be in roadworthy condition and must comply with the Road Traffic Act. The customer will be liable for any penalties, fines and other costs incurred by MBW as a result of an illegal or un-roadworthy vehicle. Legal action will be taken if any penalties or fines are not accepted. You may be required to collect or deliver your vehicle from the location where it may be stored. Additional charges may apply. (See 4.6) MBW staff will not drive any vehicle that is deemed un-roadworthy. Tyre replacement charges will include the cost of the tyre plus a £40.00 service charge and work will be carried out by a third party company. Attendance of a breakdown service to the car park premises is chargeable at £20.00 per visit, is by appointment only and is payable prior to your exit. You agree to send us any recovery service reports as required.
1.3.1 You are required to take a spare key for your vehicle with you and you are required to ensure that there is the correct locking wheel nut tool in your vehicle where applicable.
1.4 At busy times, MBW may move vehicles to an alternative location. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for any enquiries.
1.5 In extreme circumstances, MBW may transport company operatives as passengers in customer’s vehicles on occasion where it is considered efficient to do so. This will be done only in instances where multiple operatives require transport to the same destination as the vehicle, or to destinations on route not affecting route taken or overall mileage covered while the vehicle is in MBW’s possession. All customers have the right to refuse this, only with notice given by email 24 hours in advance of your specified drop off time.
1.6 MBW reserves the right to refuse service without refund if the customer is deemed to be unreasonable by MBW staff. MBW will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards any of its staff under any circumstances and will take the relevant actions should any such behaviour be encountered. MBW reserves the right to refuse or deny any customers demands above and beyond the booked services.
2 Payment, Liens and Disposal of Abandoned Vehicles
2.1 If your return flight is delayed and you require delivery of your vehicle after midnight of your scheduled return date and if parking outside of the booked period, you will be charged at the additional daily Rack Rate. Meeting drivers for collection or return between midnight and 05.00am carries a minimum £25.00 charge and additional hourly charges where applicable.
2.1.1 The company may hold card information on file and collect any outstanding payment from any payment card previously used. Any bank refunds applied without our consent will be subject to additional charges. MBW will not accept responsibility for any penalty charges relating to bank transactions (such as overdraft usage charge or similar) that may arise from outstanding payment collections.
2.2 Additional days parking and additional services must be paid for in full at the current rates. All quotes and prices will be in pounds sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate. The price payable is the price that is confirmed at the time booking, or as agreed in writing by MBW regardless of what prices may be quoted elsewhere or in any promotional offers.
2.2.1 By leaving your vehicle in the care of MBW you consent to the capturing, usage and processing of your vehicle registration mark and personal details via CCTV and ANPR for enforcement purposes, to calculate the relevant parking charges (if applicable) and to recover any outstanding payments. This includes our right to request and obtain the details of a vehicle’s registered keeper from the DVLA.
2.3 Every vehicle in the Car Park or being serviced by the company is subject to a lien for all charges due or accruing from the customer to MBW and MBW reserves the right to refuse to release any vehicle from the Car Park until those charges have been paid.
2.4 MBW reserves the right to sell any vehicle which it reasonably believes to have been abandoned.
2.4.1 Before proceeding with the disposal of abandoned vehicles, MBW will:
(a) Make reasonable enquiries with a view to identifying and contacting the registered keeper of the vehicle in question; and
(b) Give 28 days’ notice of its intention to do so to the registered keeper by post addressed to the registered keeper’s last known address.
2.5 Notice of intention aforesaid shall be deemed to have been properly and sufficiently given by the sending of written notice by prepaid post, addressed to the registered owner at his known address, whether or not the same is actually received.
2.6 Abandoned vehicles will be sold by auction whenever practicable and the proceeds of sale will be applied towards satisfaction of all sums owing to MBW by the customer together with the expense of sale. In connection with such sale, MBW shall be entitled to charge reasonable storage charges and in respect of the period during which the vehicle is in the possession of MBW.
2.6.1 Any balance of the sale proceeds remaining after satisfaction of all sums due to MBW shall be held by MBW on behalf of the registered keeper of the Vehicle and paid on proof of entitlement to the Vehicle.
3 Cancellations and amendments (not applicable to Non Flex or Super Saver products)
3.1 All cancellations and/ or amendments require 24 hour notice, will carry an admin surcharge of £10.00 and must be made in writing only, via email to email@example.com. This must be acknowledged to you in writing as received and confirmed by MBW and you agree to pay any outstanding amount prior to the delivery/ release of your vehicle.
3.2 Any customer wishing to curtail the length of stay will be liable to pay the fee for the whole of the service booked.
3.3 Cancellations or amendments cannot be accepted if you book a supersaver or non-flexible parking product. In circumstances where amendments are accepted by MBW, the booking rate will be increased to the relevant standard fee rate at the time of booking plus a £10.00 admin fee.
4 Exclusions, responsibilities and limitations
4.1 Damage checks at collection are cursory only. Photographs from the drop-off point (prior to departure) and collection area (post arrival) must be provided in any correspondence to support any claim. MBW will not accept liability for damage where you are unable to provide photographic evidence from the drop-off area (images must be taken in the presence of MBW staff). Marks and dents will only be considered when they are clearly visible. Refer to point 4.2.2 MBW reserve the right to re-check and to add to the cursory check-sheet if any damage may have been missed by the driver collecting your vehicle. It is your responsibility to check for damage with MBW staff, to confirm mileage and to take photographs of the vehicle and the paperwork at the time when MBW staff are collecting your vehicle to support any damage claim or mileage query. Photographs must be date & time stamped. It is not the responsibility of MBW staff to recommend that you conduct your own check or to recommend that photographs are taken. Photographs must be of sufficient quality so as to clearly support your claim.*
4.1.1 It is your own responsibility to inspect the vehicle in full, upon your return. Damage or any other issues reported after MBW has left the collection area will not be considered under any circumstance.
4.2 It is your responsibility to inform staff of any function on your vehicle that is not working or should not be touched or adjusted. MBW staff will move seats and mirrors to enable them to be able to drive the vehicle safely. If staff are required to be cautious with any aspect of your vehicle, you must inform them prior to them starting your vehicle and you must make note of any such instructions on the relevant section of the damage report sheet and initial to confirm. (See point 4.5.1)
4.2.1 Our legal liabilities are covered by our insurances. Insurances will only be used at the discretion of MBW and only after a full investigation has been carried out and liability agreed by MBW. Certain damage may not be covered by our insurance and you will be required to obtain at least 3 quotations for us to compare prices with, for which we may opt to pay for privately. Courtesy vehicles will never be supplied by, or paid for by MBW. Certain repairs will be carried out by a repairer chosen by MBW only. MBW will NOT discuss your vehicle repair with accident management companies and lease/ company vehicles/ vehicles that are still under warranty nor will any vehicle quotation from dealerships or specialist repairers be accepted, even in the event of the vehicle forgoing its warranty or repair terms. All incidents must be reported to MBW in writing immediately and no repair is to be carried out without prior confirmation and consent from MBW. Costs for vehicles repaired without our prior consent howsoever caused, will not be met under any circumstance. In the event of insurance being used, you may be required to cover the insurance excess fee of £1000.00 unless stated otherwise in writing by MBW management. If damage is being claimed for, but is unable to be proven, the company will charge an hourly administration fee any investigative works, emails and calls that have been carried out.
4.2.2 MBW will not accept liability for any damage, scuffs, chips and cracks or any other type of vehicle deterioration* that may not be visible due to poor lighting or if the vehicle is dirty or due to adverse weather or any other reason that may make damage difficult to see. MBW will not be liable for any prior damage whatsoever that may become visible and/ or old damage that may worsen upon the vehicle being cleaned at your request this includes repairs that have been carried out previously. You are expected to inform staff of prior damage. Stone chips, small scuff & scratch marks, & small dents, pin dents, alloy/ tyre damage & windscreen damage* will not be considered under any circumstance. (See point 4.1)
4.2.3 MBW staff will assist with luggage where possible and then only if luggage is within the health and safety weight guidelines, it is your responsibility to assist or to ensure that no damage occurs to your vehicle when luggage is being removed or placed in the vehicle. MBW will not accept liability for any loss or damage caused whilst luggage is being placed in or removed from vehicles.
4.3 You agree to send MBW any photos, engineer, diagnostic or other relevant reports and keep any relevant replaced parts or images or any other information where required, as part of any query.
4.4 MBW will not accept any liability for any part of your vehicle interior or loose items within the vehicle including, but not limited to; cash, satellite navigation systems, sunglasses, floor mats, hubcaps, spare wheels, first aid kits, child seats and other items that MBW deems to be a loose item.*
4.4.1 MBW accepts no liability for safe and secure fitment if child seats. Staff will not disturb, touch or move any child seats fitted to the vehicle however it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all child seats are safe and secure when your vehicle is returned to you.
4.4.2 If any child seats have to be removed for valeting purposes you accept that the seat will be placed loose in the luggage compartment of the vehicle and it is your responsibility to refit.
4.5 MBW will not accept any liability for any items left in your vehicle including, but not limited to; cash, clothing, sports equipment or other item that is left in the vehicle.*
4.5.1 MBW will not be liable for any mechanical, structural or electrical failure of any nature, howsoever caused and you will be required to use your own recovery service in the event of any breakdown (access charges will apply See point 1.3). If MBW are required to arrange recovery, you will be required to cover all costs associated with any breakdown including the company service charge of £40.00 plus vat.
4.5.2 Key damage is not covered under any circumstance. Do not leave any other key or alarm fob with staff unless it is required in the functionality of the vehicle being left with MBW.
4.5.3 “Keyless Go” keys are considered a loose item and as such are not covered for loss or damage under any circumstance.
4.5.4 If any items or substances that are deemed to be suspicious or unlawful are found in the vehicle they will be reported to the Police and MBW will accept no responsibility for these items.
4.5.5 Low emission zone boundaries affect areas within and surrounding the airport perimeter. MBW accept no responsibility for penalty charges incurred through violation of low emission zone boundaries while the vehicle is in possession of MBW.
4.6 If the vehicle does not start for any reason, you agree that MBW will be permitted to attempt to start the vehicle using an anti-surge jump starting pack. If the vehicle fails to start or does not move for any reason, you will be required to use your own recovery service to remove the vehicle (access costs apply See point 1.3). MBW will not be liable for any additional mechanical or electrical issues, delays or additional costs arising as a result of a jump start or if a vehicle is moved or if your vehicle is unable to be delivered to you when you return as a result of a breakdown. The Customer will be liable for additional costs to the company caused by vehicle failure to start or move at a cost of £15 plus VAT per hour. The company will charge a fee if you require transportation in any event. Passengers and their items are uninsured whilst in company vehicles and whilst on company premises.
4.6.1 Should your vehicle not start or move for any reason the company reserves the right to move vehicles within the storage facility using whatever method we consider appropriate. Even if as a consequence, damage is caused to your vehicle to the extent that is reasonably necessary for the purposes of safety to persons or property, or to avoid obstruction at the storage facility.
4.7 MBW will not permit anyone other than MBW operatives onto MBW secure facilities without prior written consent. Customers will not be permitted access to their vehicle during the time the vehicle is stored with the company. If items are forgotten or left behind in customer vehicles post drop off and company staff are requested to return to the airport to deliver said items, charges will apply and items will be delivered so as to not affect other customers. The company will not accept responsibility for any items that may not be returned in time or if customer flights are affected as a result of items left behind.
5. Variation of the Terms and Conditions
These terms cannot be varied except in writing by MBW management. These terms will supersede over any other terms quoted for parking services carried out by MBW and for vehicles parked on our premises including alleged verbal agreements and terms quoted on comparison sites or that of booking agents.
Each of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs remain in full force and effect.
MBW STAFF WILL ONLY MOVE VEHICLES WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO. THE COMPANY RESERVE THE RIGHT NOT TO DRIVE ANY VEHICLE IF WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE DEEMED HAZARDOUS. * (See point 1.2)

Fraudulent claims will be referred to the police. ALL PAPERWORK IS THE PROPERTY OF MBW UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.
